Perfumania is Hiring a Financial Analyst Near Miramar, FL
Financial Analyst
Provide financial and business analysis across key operations and functions of the business including store performance, budgeting, real estate analytics, etc.
Support monthly close procedures including, but not limited, to ASC 842 entries and analysis, percentage rent reconciliations, fixed asset tracking and actual to budget variance analysis.
Utilize Aptos / Epicor's Query Designer and Business Intelligence Development Studio as well as Great Plains General Ledger/Management Report Writer to substantiate financial transactions by auditing supporting documentation.
Respond to accounting procedural questions by researching and interpreting accounting policies and regulations.
Work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external parties to maximize performance and results.
Various ad hoc analyses.
Support daily/ weekly/ monthly business reporting requirements.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and interim forecasting.
Prepare real estate pro forma analyses to support the new store opening decision process.
Support team in providing audit requests.
Support the operations team with reporting. Interpreting and responding to financial questions from the field including but not limited to budgeting, payroll, commissions, ad hoc reporting, ext.
Experience / Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 5 years of experience
Analytical, hardworking, organized, driven, self starter and a quick learner
Ability to interact with all levels within the organization
Ability to work independently, and proactively develop solutions with minimal guidance Knowledge of US GAAP
Demonstrated proficiency in various PC applications including Excel (very strong), SQL server, Epicor (Aptos), Prolease, Great Plains, Crystal, etc.
The position requires individuals to have high energy, be extremely analytical, and demonstrate great attention to detail.
